A few words from the 'management' of Corn Pone Flicks
" We've been getting a few messages from people who claim to have sent
packages that we haven't recieved. Now, a lot of this is the Post
Office's fault (One guy in Massachusetts had to send us a package
Registered Mail to force the PO do its job), so here are some tips to
facilitate your Corn Pone experience:
1. Make sure you mail the tapes to the correct address,
Ellen Stanley
Corn Pone Flicks
5419 Oliver Court
Lilburn GA 30047
2. Make sure your handwriting is CLEAR AND LEGIBLE.
3. Make sure your RETURN ADDRESS is ON THE PACKAGE so the Post Office can
see it and return it to you if something goes wrong.
4. Make sure you ALSO put your return address in a letter inside the
package. Nothing fancy, just "Hi There" and your address. Return
Postage, too.
5. Make sure you mail them PRIORITY MAIL (First Class). None of this 4th
Class Special Rate BS. It's not worth it.
6. Make sure you go up to the counter and hand them to an actual Post
Office employee. Don't give it to your Mom and ask her to do it, don't
give it to the guy at the mailroom where you work, don't stick a bunch of
stamps on it and shove it in the box on the corner. Physically HAND IT
to an ACTUAL POST OFFICE EMPLOYEE. You wouldn't believe how much mail I
HAVEN'T gotten because so-and-so gave it to his "buddy" who said he'd
"mail it for him", etc. You might have to stand in a line or something,
but get over it. It's not the most unpleasant thing you'll ever have to
do.
7. Make sure you keep your receipt so that if there IS a problem, you'll
know when and where you mailed the package, and can go to the Post Office
and complain like a true American should.
I've been trading tapes through the mail for oh, say, 12 years
now, and I've found that when the above rules are followed, your package
will get where it's going 99% of the time.
