The Pretension Continues

It's widely regarded as the most pretentious anime show ever created, full of vague symbols and chockablock with obscure philosophy. It's Evangelion, the Gainax giant robot show that gave a new meaning to the term "anticlimactic ending." But what does it all mean? That's a question for another time, but CPF has thoughtfully provided this skeleton key to that meaning. Comprising the scripts for the entire original TV run, The Annotated Evangelion allows you to bask in the total effect of this personalized cerebration. Each reference, be it to laughable Freudian psychology or real-world geography, is here explained. There's no attempt to tell you what the message is; just pure unadulterated data for you to take in while forming your own opinion.

This file is in Microsoft Word (.doc) format. While the program WordPad will open this document, the annotations will not appear. The full version of Word must be used to see the notes; just float your cursor over the endnote number and a pop-up will give you the information with no need to scroll to the end of the document.
